Due to this, you will see a lot of churches while visiting Cappadocia. Nonetheless, each of them was constructed at a different time, and if you pay close attention while on your tour, you'll notice that there are noticeable variations in their designs and movements. The Carikli Church is one of these churches that you absolutely must visit.

The Carikli Church was not intended to be a place of habitation during its time. Below, there is a cafeteria. Like many other items in Cappadocia, the dining room table was carved out of rocks. The surroundings of this table, which were entirely handmade, serve as a seating area. In the scene of the "final meal," two columns stand in for the church, which is an important part of Christian culture. The building's original principal apse featured a tephra design. Yet, with time, it was lost. Three vaulted and four dome apses are still present today, though. The origin of the church's name is the subject of numerous rumors. The ascension of Jesus into the sky is depicted in drawings that are also in the church, according to the most widely believed rumors. When "carik" was assigned to the footprints in these designs, the structure came to be known as Carikli Church. Although the Carikli Church's construction took place in the 12th and 13th centuries, the precise year is unknown.
