Private Highlights of Cappadocia Tour
Private Highlights of Cappadocia Tour will begin at 09:30 from your hotel in Goreme or a little earlier from other cities (we will inform you about the pick-up time from other towns when you book) and travel to the most significant destination in Cappadocia: the Goreme Open Air Museum.
The museum is a vast monastery complex featuring nine churches that are over 1,000 years old. It has been declared a National Monument since 1963 and was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1985. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, and our guide will explain the region’s and museum’s history.
After 1.5 hours at the museum, we’ll go to Love Valley Panorama Point to explore many fascinating conical fairy chimneys as well as the Red and Rose Valleys from a side perspective.
Then we’ll head to Pasabag Fairy Chimneys to explore the best-protected fairy chimneys in Cappadocia. Pasabag is also called “Monks Valley,” and it is host to numerous multiple-headed fairy chimneys.
Your guide will explain to you the formation of all these fairy chimneys as well as the entire region. Continuing the trip, we will head to Avanos and have lunch at such a lovely boutique restaurant.
After lunch, we’ll witness a display of kick-wheel pottery in Avanos, which is a nearly 4,000-year-old type of art passed down from the Hittites.
After that, we’ll spend around 30 minutes exploring Cappadocia‘s most stunning underground city, Kaymakli. The community is capable of tremendous accomplishments such as storage, churches, living quarters, vineyards, and much more.
The tour will conclude at Pigeon Valley, where there will be a viewing platform with views of the valley and Uchisar Castle. We will transport you to your hotel by 5:00 p.m

Cappadocia is a region in Turkey that is known for its unique history, culture, and landscape. The area is in the middle of Anatolia and is known for its cone-shaped rock formations, underground cities, and cave dwellings from the past.
Cappadocia is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, and it’s not hard to see why. In this blog, we’ll talk about some of the must-see places in Cappadocia, like the Goreme Open Air Museum, Pasabag, Fairy Chimneys, Avanos, Kaymakli Underground City, and Uchisar Castle.
Goreme Open Air Museum
The Goreme Open Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Cappadocia’s most popular places to see. It is an outdoor museum that shows off the unique cave homes, churches, and monasteries that were carved into the rocks.
The museum dates back to the 4th century and shows how early Christians used caves as a place to hide when they were being persecuted. The museum features some of the best-preserved rock-cut churches and frescoes in the region, making it a must-see for anyone interested in history and culture.
Pasabag and Fairy Chimneys
The strange rock formations called Fairy Chimneys are what make Pasabag, which is also called Monk’s Valley, famous. These unique rock formations were made by volcanic eruptions and erosion over time. Many of them have been carved into homes, chapels, and places to store things.
Visitors can take a walk around the valley and marvel at the unique shapes and sizes of the fairy chimneys. Pasabag is also a great place to buy souvenirs from local vendors and enjoy some Turkish tea or coffee.
Avanos
Avanos is a small town in Cappadocia that is famous for its pottery. The town sits on the banks of the Kizilirmak River and is known for its red clay. Visitors can watch pottery being made at local workshops and even take a pottery class themselves.
Avanos is also home to several historical landmarks, including the Ottoman-era Sarihan Caravanserai and the Haci Dayi Mosque.
Kaymakli Underground City
One of the most fascinating attractions in Cappadocia is the Kaymakli Underground City. This vast network of tunnels and rooms was used as a refuge by early Christians during times of persecution.
The underground city has several levels and includes living quarters, churches, and storage areas. Visitors can explore the tunnels and learn about the history and architecture of this unique underground city.
Uchisar Castle
Uchisar Castle is the highest point in Cappadocia. From there, you can see a wide view of the area. The castle was built into the rocks and served as a fortress for early settlers in the region. Visitors can climb to the top of the castle and enjoy the stunning views of the fairy chimneys and rock formations.
In conclusion, Cappadocia is a remarkable region with a rich history and culture. Visitors can explore the unique landscape, visit ancient churches and monasteries, and even learn how to make pottery.
The Goreme Open Air Museum, Pasabag, Fairy Chimneys, Avanos, Kaymakli Underground City, and Uchisar Castle are just a few of the must-see attractions in Cappadocia. With its stunning scenery and fascinating history, Cappadocia is a destination that should be on every traveler’s bucket list.
